Weekly Meetings

Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. In July and August meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday only.

Alaska State Elks Camp 2009

To all Elks Lodges and Potential Campers;

The dates for this year’s Boys camp is June 7th – 13th and the Girl’s camp is June 14th – 20th. Campers must be between 9-13 years old, no exceptions. There are 5 pages in the application package. Please ensure each camper gets all 5. Three of the pages require a signature on the part of the parent/guardian and the camper. Each camper must be sponsored by an Elks Lodge and two of the pages require the signature of a Lodge Officer. All three pages must be returned. Deadline for applications this year is May 25th for the Boys and June 1st for the girls.

A reminder that campers are to arrive between 2:00pm and 4:00pm and will depart between 8:30am and 10:30am. Campers are to arrive and depart on the scheduled start and stop dates. Any deviations to this MUST be coordinated with a Board member PRIOR to start of camp.

Each Elks Lodge can send up to 5 campers for each of the two camps. Our goal is to have underprivileged kids who would normally not get to go to camp. We want to offer these kids an experience they will remember and probably wouldn't get without our camp. Our goal is 90 campers at each camp. We hope to have as many Lodges as possible send kids this year. Each Lodge will receive a package outlining travel arrangements, pick up and drop off, etc. If you have any questions concerning camp, travel or camp rules please feel free to contact the nearest Alaska Elks Lodge or any Youth Camp board member.
